Cádiz is in Fashion
Recently The New York Times has included Cádiz as one of the recommended destinations to visit in 2019. Trip Advisor in 2018 did include it as one of the best-emerging destinations. Why?
For Andrew Ferren, NY Times journalist, it’s clear: “It fascinates the mix of environment that it offers, you go from refined places and cults like Jerez de la Frontera to the wild landscape that takes your breath away like the Bolonia Beach”.
Cádiz, The Light City, its streets still show in the splendor of the city that was the last port of entry to Spain the merchandise of its empire until 1898. It is the city of “La Pepa”, the city that the French don’t could occupy, is “La Tacita de Plata”.
Cádiz is the flamenco land, an artist like Camaron, Paco de Lucia, Lola Flores, Jose Merce or Rocio Jurado were born in these lands.
Gastronomic areas like Casa Manteca, La Clandestina, La Candela, El Lu o Aponiente, are the examples of the gastronomic richness of this land.
Jerez de la Frontera and its wineries, the sunsets in La Caleta, the carnival, the Populo neighborhood, transporting us to the Colonial Habana in the Plaza de la Mina or the Malecon, Sanlucar de Barradena and its horse races on the beach, the Almadraba Tuna, the route of the white towns or the Surfer City of Tarifa.
Carlos Cano said, if the culture was in danger, the last trenches would be in Cádiz…
Cádiz is in fashion, but it’s not temporary, this land has a charm that catches, is too much their attractive, seduces you, it makes you fall in love until you don’t have any else option that succumbs to its pleasures, then you are lost!
